Silk Threads carries more than twenty-five labels, from established couture houses to contemporary pret brands. Here is an orientation to who does what, so you know where to start looking.
Couture and bridal
Seema Gujral is known for intricate embroidery and luxury fabrics in contemporary bridal silhouettes. Charu Parashar works in eco-conscious luxury pret with classical Indian detailing, and Archana Kochhar brings global design sensibilities to traditional craft.
Reynu Taandon and Sulakshna Monga both sit firmly in high-glamour occasion wear, while Rohit Verma is the most theatrical name we carry, with bold colour and dramatic construction.
Contemporary and pret
Payal Singhal has been defining the India Modern aesthetic since 1999, with embroidered lehengas, kaftans and sharara sets. MulMul is the easiest to live in day to day, built around printed kurta sets and soft, breathable fabrics.
Navyasa reimagines the saree in Liva’s fluid cellulosic fabrics, and Kalki Fashion spans the full occasion range from sarees to gowns. Sheetal Batra revives old-world opulence through fine hand embroidery, and Aashima Behl works in pastel-led destination glamour.
Also worth exploring: DL Maya, Samant Chauhan, Siddartha Tytler and Sunalii & Rupali.
Our own labels
Several collections are exclusive to Silk Threads and can be seen and custom-ordered only through the Carrollton studio: Silk Threads, Kena, Adhvaita, Saaj, Anek, Gulaab, Vandana Dua and Designz by Raga.
Menswear
Varun Bahl Menswear reworks traditional groom’s wear with modern tailoring and the label’s signature floral embroidery. The womenswear line, Varun Bahl Womens, carries the same floral language into lehengas and gowns.
Wedding designers
For the most formal bridal commissions we carry Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Rimple & Harpreet and Shantanu & Nikhil.
Alongside them sit Isha Gupta Tayal, Jayanti Reddy, Torani and Papa Don’t Preach.
Where to start
If you have a function and a date but no designer in mind, start from the occasion rather than the label. If you already know the aesthetic you want, browse the designer collections directly, or speak to us and we will point you at the three or four names worth your time.
